Slow Adventures in Slothville

Mini-Post

Filed under: Family, Slothyness — shhville @ 10:25 am

This is my parents' dog, Homer, resting his head on my head in the car. They got him from a shelter after his owner died and this was the first day we ever met. I was visiting them and they picked me up from the bus station with Homer in the back seat. This mini-post was inspired by Michael's latest post about cat v. dog people. Posted by Hello

  1. What a great picture! He’s a very handsome dog (I love dogs), and you’re prettier in each successive picture. Thanks for the mini-post. Made me smile.

  2. I love it!! He’s obviously smart, and knows where you lie in the scheme of things (below him). 🙂 Dogs are fabulous, I’m so glad your parents took him. Homer is top dog, you’re simply the Sloth.

But I love the Sloth, so that’s good too.

  4. I loooove that picture of you and Homer. Damn! Well, that makes it 19 mean things coming your way.

You premature bloggillated, I wasn’t done with my post. Thanks for the compliment about the photo, do I have 10 mean things coming my way now, besides the feeble beatdown?

  6. mmmm.. Slothly goodness…

Great pic.! My dog used to laid his head on my stomach when I slept. It’s such a great feeling.

    Dogs rule!

  7. Homer, good name. But do dogs and sloths normally commingle in the wild so happily?

    Comment by Jamie — July 14, 2004 @ 12:39 pm

  8. Great pic… love Labs and Lab mixes which is what Homer appears to be, not to mention friendly with Sloths.

  9. Jamie: They commingle, and how.

  11. As much as I love dogs, I’ve never wanted to be one (not really even for their auto-fellatio abilities) until I saw this picture. What I wouldn’t give to be nuzzling my noggin against Cutie-patootie there!

  12. OOhhhh puppy! I miss having dogs. Just me and one laid back kitty now.

  13. Oh oh! Sloth! SO cute with that big doggie resting on your fabulous noggin. How ya’ll post these pictures? I have some pups I want to put up now…

  14. Hi everybody – thank you for your comments! Except for you, Dastard. The beatdown will be far from feeble. I am sharpening my 6 claws as we…blog.

Inanna – Homer is a black lab, doberman mix. Very leggy.

D-Sloth – my head is hypoallergenic too. Algae aside. Nuzzle me.

Varla – As I mentioned in another place but you may not see it, you can download BloggerBot from Blogger and then get pics onto your site very easily.

Mini-posts are great because you say a little something, something and not feel bad about burying it when you immediately want to say something else. I will have to deal with this addiction when I start back to school in the fall.

Also, Jack, I can’t get to your site from here. Can you give the address if it’s not private? Thanks.
