Weedio Extravaganza

Filed under: Penny — shhville @ 2:10 pm

Now that I’m on the Yoo Toob I’m all about the weedios. First up for today, a comparison of Penny then and now.

When I first got Penny she was huge and pink and totally exhausted. She looked like a cross between a kiwi and a piglet. When I could get her to walk, which wasn’t often, it was a sad waddle with her tail between her legs.  She always seemed miserable except when she was laying in bed.

Exhibit A:

She was always like that. She hated to do anything except lay around and have her belly rubbed. Also, eating. She enjoyed eating. Can you tell? Anyway, after a bunch of walks outside in the beautiful sunny weather, her skin turned dark and mottled. With a new diet, she lost weight. Then one day………she wagged her tail! It was so exciting, like a baby’s first steps. Fast forward to today and she is the Tasmanian Devil.

Exhibit B:

I hear that, thanks to modern medicine, they can reattach limbs super fast these days. I’ll let you know how it works out.

And finally, what I hope to be a daily feature……..Penny waking up this morning!

Happy Hump Day, mah peoples.

  6. Adorable – and probably much easier to sleep with than most bed partners…

  7. WaaaaHAAAAA Pennyfab, I love it!

Penny is easy to sleep with except that she’s like a little heater. Not so good on warm, humid nights. Luckily it’s almost always cold here.

  9. Yay! Snortlebug!

So far the morning videos are going well. No snorting today, though. And snorting is big around here.

    She is mesmerizing, isn’t she?

  10. Holy Kiwi, It’s like a cutebomb just when off in here! Your blog title is awesome, but maybe inaccurate now – Jumpy Adventures in Snorkville?

[BTW, I had the good luck to bring Penny to Sarah from the pound so I did get to spend a really nice hour or so with her on the train and let me tell you, on the subway people were smiling at us like nobody’s business. She’s a super special girl and thank you for all you’ve done for her. She looks awesome, and you can tell she feels awesome, too!]

  12. I am, yes. Catherine McAuley High, ’94.

It’s true that Penny is a people magnet. I’ve had to stop making eye contact with people just to get from one place to another. When people catch my eye, they automatically ask if they can pet her or what her name is – it’s like she invites love from everyone.
